I remember vividly, something you said one year at camp, and it has stuck with me ever since. “One Person to please, and nothing to prove.” I took that statement to heart that year, because I had been through some extremely difficult things...Since I have written it in my Bible, it has seen me through some of the hardest times as a teen and young adult. I’ll be 25 in a few months and as I look back over those impressionable years, I remember thinking, “I hope God does something great with my life. I hope my life counts for eternity.” Now, at age 24, I have graduated from Bible College and I have served the Lord vocationally for the past 2 years. For the last year I have been serving as a Pastor’s secretary and church pianist here in CA. It has been an incredible year and I have valued and enjoyed every minute of it. Last week a new family, that God used me to reach, joined our church and two weeks ago, one of my Sunday School girls was baptized. I say this not to brag, but to let you know that the influence you had on my life, is now impacting others. This is fruit that abounds to both our accounts, and, most importantly, it is fruit that remains! I&rsquo:m so excited and thrilled with the anticipation of what God has in store for my life. God has been faithful to show me that He can use anyone who is a yielded vessel – even me! Just like you always said He would! Thank you for answering the call of God on your life and thank you for preaching His truths to a young teen girl whose desire was to be used of God. This is only the beginning of a life that I pray will have an eternal impact on others for Christ.
